Terms of service

Working draft
Final terms are under review by UK counsel. The substantive commitments below will not weaken between this draft and the launched version.

1. The basics

Wizzmo is provided by WiseBees Academy Ltd, a UK-registered company. By creating an account you agree to these terms; if you don't agree, please don't create an account.

2. Who can use Wizzmo

Wizzmo is for UK secondary-school students (Years 7-11, roughly ages 11-16) and is set up by an adult — a parent or guardian, or a school employee acting on the school's behalf. The adult is the account holder and the data controller for their child's data unless a school has chosen to be controller for its pupils.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Family plans bill monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from your parent dashboard or by emailing [email protected].School billing is agreed in writing with each school before any invoice is raised; the tiers on our pricing page are indicative.

4. Free trial

Family plans start with a 14-day free trial. We do not take payment details during the trial. If you don't subscribe by day 14 the account pauses; your child's progress is held for 90 days.

5. Refunds

Within 14 days of a paid charge, contact us and we'll refund the most recent payment in full. Outside that window we don't refund partial periods, but you can cancel and use the time you've already paid for.

6. Your statutory cancellation right

Separately from our refund policy above, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of taking out a subscription, without giving a reason. To use it, tell us at [email protected] — a clear statement is enough, and you may use the model cancellation form in the Regulations if you prefer.

Because Wizzmo is digital content supplied immediately, you agree when you subscribe that we may begin supplying it during the cancellation period. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we may charge for what you have already used, in proportion to the period supplied. Nothing on this page removes or limits this right.

7. Complaints

Tell us first at [email protected] and we will acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve within fifteen. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may refer the dispute to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider, or to the courts as set out under governing law below. Nothing here requires you to complain to us before exercising a legal right.

8. Acceptable use

Don't share an account with a household that hasn't paid; don't attempt to extract content for redistribution; don't use Wizzmo to harm children. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

9. Content and licensing

Curriculum content comes from Oak National Academy and is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Each lesson carries its own credit at the foot of the page, in the wording Oak requires. We adapt that content — the narration is re-voiced by Bea and the slide furniture is hidden — which the licence permits; Wizzmo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Oak National Academy. The Wizzmo wrapper, characters, dialogue, and software are the property of WiseBees Academy Ltd.

10. Liability

Wizzmo is a learning aid, not a substitute for school. We make no guarantee of grades, exam outcomes, or specific learning gains. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

11. Changes

We may change these terms; if we change anything material we'll email account holders and post a dated notice here. Current version dated 2026-05-28.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
